Burry Port is a stunning area. Setting up a music festival would bring in lots of new people to the area - and would be a great boost for our tourism industry. Just as Tenby has become known for Blues, and Brecon for Jazz, why not make Llanelli the home of funk? (This is an idea that was submitted at the ‘Economic Strategy’ workshop, and has been added to the website by a member of Lee Waters’ team).
Beach Break Live didn't prove too popular with residents in Pembrey and I'm not sure the local community saw much benefit from it either. Might be a hard sell locally and nationally, when up against established events.
